Method and formulas

Fick: CO = VO₂ / ((CaO₂ − CvO₂) × 10)

CaO₂ = 1.34 × Hb × (SaO₂ / 100) + 0.0233 × PaO₂

CvO₂ = 1.34 × Hb × (SvO₂ / 100) + 0.0233 × PvO₂

pO₂ is entered in kPa. The dissolved-oxygen coefficient is 0.0031 when pO₂ is entered in mmHg.

Echo: SV = π × (LVOT diameter / 2)² × VTI; CO = SV × HR / 1000.

BSA = √(height × weight / 3600); SVR = 80 × (MAP − CVP) / CO.
